Default Starter

My starter (thinking stater solenoid) has been on its way out for a few months...
It will sometimes start no problem, other times it takes a few turns of the key.
I have set up an appointment to has the starter assembly replaced for tommorrow...
Unfortunately...the car now refuses to start!!!!
But yesterday it started first crank!
Hoping that I dont have to get it towed, it has never left me stranded before.
Is there anyway to circumvent the starter solenoid for just a one time start so i can drive it to the shop?

Please respond asap as I need to either sort this out or call a towing company to take it to the shop @ 12pm Wednesday.

you can take a screw driver and tap it a few times, then start the car. This is usually good for several more starts.

You best option is to keep on trying. The starter is located in the middle of the block and under the the intake manifold. Nothing will reach it unless you start taking things apart.

Try a broomstick -- the starter's directly under the windshield-side of the intake manifold. Slide it in the front and do some searching...
