Borla Tips on 1st gen GS
Got the Borla Tips installed today. Thanks DrewGS4 for the hook-up. IMO, this is a relatively an inexpensive "mod" to improve the overall look. I think it looks pretty good, at least more aggressive than the stock tips.
I know some of you will ask why "tips", why not the whole exhaust. Well, I did have the GReddy cat backs on my car for a total of ONE day. It was just too loud for me and it seem to have lost some low-end power. I was told doing other mods (i.e. Intake) would fix the low-end power lost problem. I do not plan on making any engine mods anytime soon, so the Tips are more ideal for me. I don't race much, because I have my daughter with me most of the time, so performance isn't a big issue. I just wanted a more aggressive look.

The GReddy was real expensive. I think it was around $900. I'm holding it for someone right now. He trying to save up for it. Actually, I'm not sure if the deal is gonna go throught. Why, are you interested?
Magnaflows? Well, I sort of look into to it. But I didn't want to have the same problems as I did with the GReddy. Maybe when I'd need to replace my exhaust, I will probably go with the Magnaflows. (There's a small tear/rip on one of my exhaust (canister). I had it checked at Lexus dealership and they said it's still useable. But eventually I will need to replace it.)

Blue Wax, you can PM DrewGS4 if you're interested. I know there is a smaller oval tip but I think DrewGS4 only has the large ones. PM him.
Are you talking about you're stock tips? Yeah, they're OK but I wanted a change.

Of course I know you have the first generation GS, bro! Remember, I was the one who came to you for help on clearing out the corners.

Hurry up with the digicam, Jmai. I want to see how your car looks like with the clear corners, your cleared tail-lights, HID, sound system....etc.

BTW I like the round tips...here are a couple shots of mine with the Tanabe Hyper Medallion. Its not obnoxious loud or ricey. It sounds deep with a snarl that sounds like a V-8 Camaro. I didn't lose any thing power-wise, but I don't think I gained either. But it sure looks good with those 115mm tips sticking out the back...
These were taken before the Aristo Tailpiece was installed and the emblems shaved.
