Default Good news, alternatives to fiberglass TTE replica lips...

Looks like VIS now sells the TTE replica lips in carbon fiber. I had the fiberglass replica, and fitment was really good. Got rid of the lip cause I wanted something that could take more abuse, so I may pull the trigger on the carbon fiber replica. It's about the same price as you would expect to pay for a used genuine TTE lip though....

True, but the fiberglass replicas were pretty thin, so just about anything would be stronger IMO.

I second that. It seems that I picked up one of the last TTE Lips that was for sale in the classifieds... it will be with me for a while...

question is how many riceboys that buy this will keep it unpainted. +2 on the cf lip not being very strong.

CF is normally used for weight reduction...in this case its not and it should be painted unless you're going for the look CarbonGS has.

if ur gonna get carbon fiber for this much..id rather go for the regular replica and get that painted..i think cf tte will look cheesy and ricey IMO..unless u paint the cf..but then its still not as strong as polyurethane
