OK guys. What a weekend. 
Here is an update as far as I know. The details of the GB is in post #1. Nigel and CLT are trying to work this out but for right now, this is the ONLY GB. We do not have simultaneous competing GBs.
CLT has graciously agreed to sell these at $99.99, which was the last price set by Nigel. This really is one of those once-in-a-lifetime deal. As you saw from one of Nigel's posts, they are pretty much making no money to losing money on this deal. Good or bad, it was a business decision, not necessarily entirely based on near-term profit. I will leave it at that.
At this point, the members who have paid will get a refund to meet the $99.99 price point. We need the other members who have not yet paid to do so so we can get this going.
This GB is based on the unpainted covers. As CLT's paint cost is fixed by his shop, he does not have control over this (as is also evident in Nigel's post for his paint source). There are benefits to getting unpainted covers:
- Lower price start point
- Better paint match if paint is done locally. Since this is for 98-00 covers, our cars are old. Depending on condition, paint fade and element exposure is unique to each car. You can have the covers painted the OEM color but that assumes conditions as if fresh from the factory. Some may care about this and some may not. You can make the call.
- You may have contacts that paint for less.
- You may have contacts that paint to your quality needs.
- DIY if you are so inclined.
- You can wrap (vinyl, CF, ...) without dealing with paint cost.
Anyways, let's finish this up guys. I am sure all who expressed interest wants to get their parts, and now at a phenomenal price.
I have had previous contacts with both Nigel and David and they seem like great guys. I hope they can work things out in a way that is beneficial to both and we can all put this behind us.
