I am wondering about routine maintenance here. Your car is pretty old. How long ago did you replace your wires, rotors, caps and plugs? Do you have a K&N panel filter?

My SC400 went from 15mpg hard driving to around 18-19mpg hard driving after a full tune up but this also included a new filter and a chip.

ok camren, here you go. i believe both the gs300 and the gs400 have 19.8 gallons tank. in my manual, whenver it's different between gs3 and gs4 it's stated clearly, but when it comes to the fuel tank capacity, it just has one line saying 19.8 gallons.

so...

well i have only had this car for almost 1 year now. and the only things that you listed that i have change is the plugs. how much will the wires, rotors, and cap run for??? also any brand name i should go for??

also i don't want to take it to the dealer to have them tear me a new ****. i wanna do this myself.

Go stock. With whats in the car I would definitely get factory parts. If you turbo then you would replace a lot of things anyway but stick to the things you know work well.

SEARCH!! (just kidding)

I have taken my car to the limits when it cut off on me when I punched it cause I was that outta gas.

Fuel light on gives you 60-80 miles as someones tated and I STILL could not put in 19 gallons. Like 18 gallons when I almost ran outta gas.

you guys think just cause you have a 19.8 gallon tank you can pump 19.8 gallons everytime at the pump??? this is not a lawnmower or a go cart guys. you can't run the fuel empty like that. you will NEVER pump even 19.5 gallons. you have to remember there is always fuel that can't be sucked up. and fuel in the filters, and lines. and what not.

I do not think or hope that people let the fuel almost go empty on purpose. For me it is only if I am in a bad or unkown area and want to get to some place with some familiarity. Usually the only times the gas light goes on are when travelling and when used car slimebags let you drive off the lot with the light already on.
