If the red light camera didn't get you, of course the police point check before the GCP will. Be happy they didn't ticketed you for each window.

WOW! I'd LOVE to live in NY... Over $200 here in cali! $180 the last time I got one (4 years ago) my bud just got one and I'm pretty certain its $280 here count your blessing folx! And in Cali, its at the discretion of the officer to make it a fix-it ticket or not. and each time you get pulled over for the same violation, it goes up...

lol funny thing is i just got all my windows done from tintmax today because of the same prob. when i got the car the last owner had limo tints. changed everything to 30% now and hopefully wont get bothered. still have a "dazzling" headlight ticket i have yet to fight this january. welcome to nyc.

One thing I've heard is that five oh usually wont mess with 50% and above cause you can clearly see through, however anything below 35% is very dark (looks sick though) and well you get effed with.

Around here, they wont pull you over for 50+ however as said above, if pulled over for something else, they will add the tint. Then with 35% or below, they will pull you over for that alone.

They made me roll up my windows when I went to get my ticket signed off
I have stock tints & the guys was all like "I'm not signing it off till you roll up your front windows"
I was like "I didn't get a ticket for tints"
He didn't care! Cali cops are A-Holes!

What was your ticket for? If it wasnt for the tint, then theres no reason to tell you to roll them up. I would go to a different cop.

I understand OP's frustration, heck ive been there before, but you gotta love and respect your local LE officers. Go to your local PD for a ride along one day and see what they deal with on a daily basis. CAUTION(if you live in detroit however do not attempt to do this its extremely hazardous to your health). Anyways ive encountered alot of poopy cops in my life but 98 percent of them have been cool. That 2 percent didnt stop me from getting in the same field hell it motivated me to get a job and be better than that. I wont disagree with the fact that there is some A-holes out there just as there are taxi drivers, nurses,doctors,politicians,strippers, roofers,santa clause, but LE officers are just doing their job.
