vsc/vsc off light/code 1121
sorry guys i know there is an old thread like this one but i have not had any luck. I have an 2000 gs300 that the other day vsc/vsc off light came on and went on limp mode. until i restarted car and again went on limp mode until i got home. I already change the throttle position sensor without any luck it drove well for 2 mile and it still ended up on limp mode. on the other thread day talk about throttle motor?? i spoke to a lexus tech and he said i had to change the whole throttle body and possible ecu?? i need help guys!!
thanks in advance

I think P1120 has to possibly do with the TPS (as well as other possibilities), and P1121 may have to do with the accelerator pedal position sensor (APPS). I remember reading this somewhere. Don't quote me as to pinpointing the problem, but this may give you a head start in searching and finding more info. GL and I hope you get the issue identified and fixed.

i check the aps and ohm reading 1.5ohm which is suppose to be normal. i just order from the salvage yard a use throttle body assembly . sick and tire on working on this system which no one has clue on how to determined which of the sensor or motor is the problem no even the lexus techs that i talk to.
we need a better thread on this!!! i appreciate the help and concern brother

Is your car idling rough?
if so, then it could be the VVT sensor. I had the same problem with my GF car. It was solved. I took it to a friend's smog shop to get her car scanned. I forgot the code it gave me, but it was a VVT system malfunction - filter is clogged. So i took out her filter and it was super clean. So I took out my vvt sensor from my car and swapped it out with her's. restarted the ECU and her car ran fine. I ordered The part It was $120.00 at Tustin Toyota. But i got mines for $85

not really a rough idle. i have a 2001 gs300 with the check engine light on and codes coming back to the TPS. i changed the TPS and i'm still having the same problem.
it almost stalled wheni pulled off the freeway after driving 15 miles with the pedal to the floor and only reaching speeds of, like, 75 max.
