Default Replacing wheel studs: need to remove shoes?

I got the studs loose from the hub but can't wiggle them out because of the ebrake shoes.

I assume I have to remove them?

lol^ that's all he gets is a "no you don't" if you know a way he doesn't, then at least let him know...HOLD OUT
