Sounds ridiculous too.
YOu can try calling Longo Lexus and ask for prices. We have a contact here on the board (ANYBODY? ANYBODY?)
that gives good rates for clublexus members and you can use that # as a baseline for where you're at.
Take it easy

My friend told me the dealer wanted $1600 for a 60k service for a LS4!! But she has a local guy who used to work for Lexus that charged her $800. Too bad he's 50 miles north of S.F. or I might try him out.

I paid $811 for 60K service on my '99 GS300 last week. Personally, I think that it is a rip off, but then agian I consider it the price that I have to pay for the Lexus reliability that I expect.

Guys, it should be right under $800.
If you change you own oil, you save $40.
I have the million mile K&N filter, they would otherwise replace this. Another $80 saved.
Since they change this every 60k miles, the K&N more than pays for itself (and is a much higher quality than OEM).
Those with aftermarket wheels and tires of diff. widths, they cannot rotate tires, do not let them charge you for this.
FYI,
lexus GS battery is $90. they will charge you (get this) 1/2 labor for replacing it, that is almost $40. Buy battery, change yourself.
Replace and buy your own headlight bulbs (non-hid guys) they will cahrge you$27 for a bulb.
It costs MORE to resurface rotors and change pads then to REPLACE rotors and change pads.
I got them to charge me 1/2 labor to add my Borla exhaust (I almost did it myself, it's really easy).

How in the hell can Logo charge $298 and Magnussen $1200? This is total BS and Lexus corporate should standardize their pricing structure!!!!
What is the best place and price in the Bay Area to get the 60K?

Interesting thread given I'll be getting my 60K in a few months and I normally use Magnussen Fremont. I'll have to stop by and get a list of the services performed, for $1200 I'd expect more than my car getting serviced...
