Chrome Grill
Ok, I have already used the search function but had a hard time finding a picture of a 98 GS400 grill that has been full chromed. I mean where the paint has been removed from all the ribs on the grill, not just the top part.
Any pics on a silver GS would be extremely useful but on any GS I would be grateful.

If you want a FULLY chromed out grill, I believe you need to dump the grill in a bucket of acetone. Putting the gel-type paint remover on the sides and then chipping the paint off takes TOOOOOOOOOOO long. I only did the top part so far, but this weekend I'm going to buy a couple of quarts of acetone and soak this baby in it.

Mylexussc300, hmm I was thinking of doing that, but wouldn't the steel wool scratch up the chrome on the sides? . I was thinking of using brillo pad to rub that shiat off ! I can't tell from the pic, did you remove the paint from the ENTIRE grill?

I used laquer thinner and a clean rag. I first sprayed the whole grille throughly and then I rubbed the front "face" of the entire grille. It came out very nice...... I took my car in for service and the tech was complementing me on the grille when I I told him I had done it myself. Exactly like the oem sport grille.
