Awww man!!! DFW <-- is that Dallas Fort Worth? we were in Addison actually.. ate at Ghenghi's Grill. Are you familiar with that area? Dude, that would've been sweet to meet up with you- AWESOME GS, too... Something about the "OG" GS400 still gets me.. I love them both. I really with the 430 had the E-Shift buttons on the wheels. The up-shift buttons, being on the back is sooo sweet.

One thing (not that it matters much) I noticed though- Did Lexus not put the radio controls on the steering wheel until '01 ? (that's kinda dumb if they didn't have that til '01- My old 1996 Grand Am GT had em, and Honda Accord had them in at least '98, I know) ha.... or was that a rare option on the '98-'01 GS?

Yes DFW stands for Dallas Fort Worth. I'm familiar with the Addison area...

It's about 15 miles from where I live.

98-00 GS's don't have radio controls on the steering wheel.

Thanks man. I am hoping I don't have to sink TOO TOO much money into this GS.. I plan on just using it for my daily driver. I already bought a decent set of 17" winter wheels with some 215/55/R17 Bridgestone BLIZZAK's on them for the *****TY WINTER MONTHS here in PA!

Does anybody have any idea what all could make the car have a little "miss" or HESITATE when first takign off? I'm going to scan it (my buddy has an OBDII scan tool) and see what code it throws out.

Thanks guys

and IUZ-GS, one cool thing about the 400's is the throttle cable (may, or may not?) be doing what it's doing right now, if it didn't have that Drive-By-Wire... it's all computerized. Def can tell though- when you FLOOR IT, from a dead stop it doesn't QUITE pick-up like my buddy's '00 GS4 does... (or maybe it's just b/c my 430 has this check engine light on, and it's little 'hiccup' ?)

I don't know... ONE THING THOUGH- The 17" "SPORT" wheels that came on the LOADED GS400's and the '01-'03 <--? GS430's... are the sweetest wheels on the 2nd-Gen V8 GS models!

Once you lower it on these wheels, it looks a whole lot sweeter.

FOR SURE !!! I am def trying to get some new struts and shocks down the road, and when I replace them, I'm throwing some Eibachs on it.

Can anybody tell me where the OEM plug is, for connecting an OBD Scan Tool, on my car ? Under the dash.. or on the pass-side?

I haven't really looked but my buddy has a OBD Scanner and was going to plug it it to see why my check engine light is on- but I don't know where to connection is on the car, to plug in the tool!
