sort of...
Hey,
You were asking if a 2000 GS300 with 13k miles is a good deal for $30k.
I'm a wholesale auto broker in Atlanta. I'm also a big Lexus GS enthusiast. I go to wholesale auctions weekly and purchase pre-ordered vehicles for my customers.
The short and simple answer to your question is yes, it's a good deal assuming that the vehicle is in mint condition. Regardless of how good it looks to you there are two things you MUST do before purchasing it: 1. run a carfax report 2. get the vehicle inspected by a knowledgeable mechanic you trust. If everything is perfect, yes, its a good deal (sort of). The primary reason it is a good deal is the low miles. If it had higher miles, it would not be worth $30k.
There are several other factors you should consider. For $27k I can get you or you should be able to find a 99 GS400. For $25k I could get you or you should be able to find a 98 GS400. In my humble opinion, the GS400 is in a whole different league than the GS300.
Also, the GS300 you are looking at has not depreciated signigicantly. In about two years it will be a $20-21k vehicle.

Good Deal
I got my 2000 GS with 14k platinum edition with Nav for 36k back in Feb so I think for a GS300 you may be able to do better. It kinda just depends on where you are. I got mine at Lexus of Alexandria in VA. It was a CPO. If you can find a GS400 with a few more miles at around the same price you would really enjoy it more. A 99 GS400 would be a better investment IMHO.
