Default Wont start.. car posessed by demons...

I heard what sounded like a car trying to start but only cranking... it was pretty loud considering I could hear it over the monsoon that was just going on in NY. I didn't think it was my car so I hit my remote start button and my car started up fine. So i used the remote to turn it off. I still heard the noise and I figured why go out into the rain its someone else's car. I get a phone call from my neighbor a few minutes later saying that my car is making funny noises. I come outside and its all quiet. I try to start my car and it wont start. Also something smells burnt. I tried to jump it, no start, no click, no anything. I made sure the car was in park, still no start. I'm hoping the started didnt just commit suicide somehow but thats what it looks like. Anyone have any similar issues?

changed that starter... still no start.. no anything.. time to check relays... sure i should've checked first... still gotta isolate that burning smell as far as I can tell it was coming from the starter.

replaced a burned out starter relay and the 40a main fuse and the car started up. I do need to and will double check my remote start setup though.

My car was doing the same thing as well... not starting outta the blue.. and also the battery is new...connections are good... car wont start.. not even try to click over or anything.. also the hid's wont come on.

I just went out to check the fuses in my car an noticed the 40a main fuse in the car was bad... this is also after i replaced the starter thinking it was the issue.... im wondering where I can get one of these... its too early to go anywhere yet...

okay... update... I ran down to toyota an picked up a couple of 40a main fuses... i put one in and tried to start the car... i got nothing..... so i tried to start it again... and it started... it was a weak start but it started.. So i thought my problem was solved.... I turned the car off and then tried to start it again... this time nothing....... I checked the 40a main fuses and it was blown again... Does anyone know what could be causing this? Im not really sure how to test the starter relay.....

How do I check for this...? I have a multimeter.... but I am not very strong in the electronics dept... not really sure how to use it... Can anyone give me detailed instructions on what to do to hunt this problem down?
