Wow man! I'm a little jealous with how clean your car is! It looks brand new. About the handling, get yourself a pair of coilovers ASAP and it'll handle way better than your old e39 ever did. You'll thank me later. I was actually between a e39 540i and GS but decided to get a GS and i am happy i went with it! Good luck and don't be shy!

When I go over dips on the highway, I feel the steering goes in every which direction, is this normal? I'm currently saying up some some suspension bits.

Yes, it's an option. Not exactly a must here in Tx, but we do have days where it gets down to the teens and it's nice to have heated seats.

Wish my GS came with 'em. Oh well.

If I was in South, I don't think I'd care

bs....i AM in the south and i care. it gets cold here somedays. no not as cold as when i lived in PA but still.....

like this morning it was mid 40's (no not cold for some of you but chilly for here, especially since i wear shorts alot of the year) and a high of the low 80's so we get a huge weather swing

needless to say i use my seat heaters ALOT although i did buy my car from NY so im glad it had them

BTW OP interior looks amazing

So I'm finally getting use to the car and there are some quirks I'm getting accustomed to.

1. It stalled twice going in traffic
2. Not very stable at high speeds

aside from that, I have no complaints

DAMN.. man that GS is beautiful. You pick up a very nice car.. that GS is actually better built and a much better car then ALOT of new cars being made today... The 400 engine is a jewel and a beast... worlds fastest automatic sedan when Lexus dropped it in 98. Even the stock performance is better then some new cars.

Keep it just like that.. that car needs to be in a museum.

I wished it wasn't totaled but I think its a blessing in disguise. Check out my blog for more pictures of the crashed E39:
