So I just totalled my '98 GS300, and i'm in the market for a new GS However, i'm just curious to see what you guy's think about this: Buy a 2001+ GS430 or 300 w/ a 2jz-gte swap (w/ stock turbo's)??
Being in Cali it'll be a hassle dealing with the smog so if that doesn't sound good then the gs430 is better. However, if it's not a problem then 2jzgte all the way.
i was in your shoes a few months back, i thought about getting a 300 and dropping a gte motor in it, the price between a used 300 and 430 are so minimal that i'd rather have 300hp tap with no mods to the car.. just turn the key and go...
Its all preference to what you like.. if you live in cali and u gotta deal with emissions 430 is a safe bet, but if u like workin on cars and you think you would wana add onto the 300 then its all you...

No smog problems if you get '98 GS300. (last year they made the Supra in the US)
