Question GS430 VS GS300 w/ GTE swap??

Hello everyone!

So I just totalled my '98 GS300, and i'm in the market for a new GS However, i'm just curious to see what you guy's think about this: Buy a 2001+ GS430 or 300 w/ a 2jz-gte swap (w/ stock turbo's)??

Any input is greatly appreciated, thanks

Being in Cali it'll be a hassle dealing with the smog so if that doesn't sound good then the gs430 is better. However, if it's not a problem then 2jzgte all the way.

Think about resale, would you buy a car that was motor swapped? I know me personally I kept looking when I found GS's that were modified.

i was in your shoes a few months back, i thought about getting a 300 and dropping a gte motor in it, the price between a used 300 and 430 are so minimal that i'd rather have 300hp tap with no mods to the car.. just turn the key and go...

No smog problems if you get '98 GS300. (last year they made the Supra in the US)
