Transmission Fluid

I've also heard that it's not good to do a 'full flush' or whatever on your car because it can cause the older deposits to come out of the cracks and cause a lot more problems.. Heard it a good while back, but I have heard that before..
Hmm maybe i'll just do another drain/fill and see if that helps..

Dont know how accurate it is though.

That's what I've always heard. From corvettes to f150's, avoid a full flush, especially with a lot of miles. I've been doing a drain and refill on my GS300 every other oil change (on the 3rd now) and the fluid is slowly starting to look and smell better. It worked fine before and I haven't noticed any difference in performance, I just know it needs it after 140,000 miles.

for me, i had installed the B&M tranny oil cooler, so i specifically told them that, and specifically asked for a low pressure flush. thats why my flush took a full hour, instead of just the 1/2hr rate that is normally billed. i also made sure to ask if they had a variable pressure adjustable tranny flusher at the toyota dealership, i explained to them why (the tranny cooler). i didnt rush them either. so far so good, it fixed my shifting issue (2 weeks before i booked the appointment, the tranny was having trouble getting into 1st gear and would be starting off from 2nd gear. i knew the fluid was fairly dirty (bought the car as is, and no where in the stacks of invoices did the previous owner do a tranny fluid flush or drain/fill). if the flush didnt fix the problem, then the next step would have been the 1st to 2nd gear servo.
