Default Refinishing SSR Sp1's, quick question

Hey guys, wasn't too sure where to post this, but just got a quick question. A friend of mine is going to pick up a set of SSR Sp1's (3 Piece wheels) and wants to get the center section (5 spoke star) refinished. Do you just unbolt it and the face comes right off, or is there some sort of epoxy or glue that holds it onto the barrel other than the bolts? And then once refinished, anybody know if you need to put epoxy or anything else to seal it? May seem like a weird question, but I figure it's a popular wheel for the Lexus scene, so some guys on here might know. Thanks in advance

Yeah, I hear you. I'm assuming we could contact Tanabe and find out about the torque specs, since they deal SSR now right?

You should hit up SSR and see what they think about it...

Not really a big deal if the bolts are tighten to spec. I have taken many 2 piece wheels apart. Torque spec for them was 25lbs each, No glue, epoxy etc. and if they are welded, then you would need a torch lol
