Yeah, gas is so high in Europe, it INFLUENCES car design i.e hatchbacks, mini cars, NO GIGANTIC SUV's etc.....

Gas is not that much. I will floor my car and get 250 miles a tank to let FREEDOM RING!

You guys do know that gas is $5 a gallon in the UK? And they don't complain there.
Over here it is pretty cheap, like $4 a gallon.

You drive luxury cars and you're whining about paying more for gas.

20,000 mi. a year at 20mpg is 1000 gallons. So even if it goes up $1 a gallon you're paying $1000 more a year.

jmai - you dropped more than that on your stereo probably, the weight of which is probably contributing to poor fuel economy.

Get over it or get a Civic.
hey bitkahuna. i'm not really complaining. i'm just asking if anyone else drives less vigourously due to the gas prices. Me being 18 and working a part time job that pays around 7,000 a year. and of that 7,000 around 1,500 goes to gas its a lot of money to me. i pay for every dam thing on my car myself. EVERYTHING. from sound system to upgrades, insurance, registration, Oil changes, new tires, everything add's up. and on top of that. try getting a girl friend. every time you go out to eat. your bill doubles. and everything you do doubles. then those 3 big DATES in the year ( anniversery, Birthday, Christmas.). my pocket seems extremely light aroudn these times.

Impressive that you pay for the whole car situation yourself at your age. And I really do sympathize with your budget challenges but basically if affording the gas is really a problem, then you really should think about getting something that gets a lot better mileage. When I was 18, all I had was a bicycle. Hardly any dates either!

OK jmai - got it. It just seems an odd juxtaposition to own a fancy luxury car (that most people would LOVE to own) and to be concerned (not complaining ) about gas consumption and cost. It basically implies you're living beyond your means.

Do us all a favor. Dont get the stb, or dont get the lowenharts if you cant afford it, and drive the car like it was meant to be driven. you are 18, not 81: If you have to spend 10 or 20 bucks more a week for gas do that and wait a little on the rims.
I didnt have to pay for all my expenses on the car, but I was 19 when I got the GS4 back in 98. I did pay 60-80 bucks a week in gas back then, and now with work, continue to shell out 80-100 a week. Oh well Where is my next bimmer victim. Or hell...let me get after that old guy in the C32 with the better mileage....and watch him see my tail lights.
Much worth the 10 bucks a week to put a smile on my face.
