hi i test drove a 98 gs400 just the other day and notice the shifting tiptronic buttons on the steering wheel was decently fast.
i heard it was a bit slow but it didn't seem that bad???
also as far as the factory tranny on the GS300/400 how reliable are they and up to how many hp/tq are they usually good for?

does it hold up to the power of your super charger okay? how much power are you putting down?
also when you go in manual mode... will the transmission go to 1st gear? or does it always start in 2? the gs400 i drove never went down to 1...

In manual mode all GS400s are locked out of 1st gear.
