A number of years ago I made the mistake of trying to clean the crystal on my watch with a lightly abrasive product. The crystal is some kind of acrylic - probably similar to the headlight covers. I had the same thing happen. The crystal was milky white. I took it to a jewerly store and he was able to polish it out back to its original condition. I'm not sure what he used, but you might want to check with a high-end jewelry store that does repair on the premises. They might have a product that you can use.

350 is very rough man... i cant belive it looks that good even!
what u wanna use is a 1500 grit in cold water, and then use a compound to rub out all the minor scratches that are left over.
But i think that scratch remover for plexi-glass works reallly well because i woiuld have though a 350 would have ripped that up! it must be either really hard plastic (which means the 1500 sanding will take a while) or the scratch remover is really good.
Best of luck man. It sounds like the scratch remover works as a compound (since it basically is)

all i did was took my headlight off my car and use a bottle called "Blue magic" plastic and plexiglass cleaner and light scratch remover. and started really scrubbing at it little parts at a time. all of a sudden the scratches were GONE. my car looks 100% better now.

That's amazing! When I saw your original photos I would have figured your lights were trashed. Honestly, I probably would have purchased new ones after seeing that!
Good job!
