This "glue", (urethane) is one of the strongest available. Once applied to a windshield with proper dry time, it becomes a part of the cars structural integrity. It will hold any piece, of anything, on any car.... just my 2c. Silicone will never compare. If you put the urethane on too thick, you have to allow for more dry time. I use this every day, as I install windshields. It might be because fitment wasn't right, and/or and there wasn't enough time to let the urethane dry. Not being negative, just trying to help.

Yeah, there's no question it strong stuff, but only the edge of the lip's profile fit tight against the bumper -- once the vertical part starts, it's at least a 1/4" away from the bumper. I'd need 6 tubes of caulk and 4 days dry time.
