Default Need help on stretching tires

Hi all,

I'm thinking into getting that stretch tire look and so I was asking around. I currently have a 245/40/18 front and a 275/35/18 rear. If I want to stretch what size should I look into? I went to a tire shop and they were offering me a mix set up with a set of Dunlop SP Sport Max 225/50/18 front and a set of Dunlop SP Sport 5000 255/55/18 in the rear. The price with balancing and mounting will be about $280. How does that sound and are those good? Thanks for any input.

only stretch if needed...its function not just a look. Do you have low offsets? Are you low enough to benefit from the stretch?

stretched would look so silly on that car. Only because the wheels are so sunk in

What do you mean sunk in? I thought that's called flush...lol...is it looking horrible the way it is?

Anyways, I get it now and won't be looking into it. Thanks for the help!!

You need to drop another 2-3 inches before thinking of stretching, even then probably dont need it... The drop will also make it look a WHOLE lot better! A lot more needed to achieve flush as well, rears are close the fronts need some more spacing. Dont know where "so" sunk in comes from though, cause its not that bad

Do what you want, not what they want. The lower you go, the more careful you have to be when driving. If you want to drop it more, you'll have to get other springs or even coilovers. -> $$$
