Default Fuel Float Sensor Location

Hi all,

Does anyone have a picture/diagram/description of where this sensor is? I looked at some of the fuel filter threads but did not see anything definitive on this part.

Thanks.

the float device is attached to the fuel filter. it has a long metal hanger and a black triangular plastic floater piece that lifts up when fuel enters the chamber.

heres a pic from slickgt's write up.

Sorry but is it on that pic somewhere? Will I need to open everything up to see it? My fuel gauge is inconsistent and I wanted to see if this sensor is still properly mounted.

Thanks.

its actually that black triangular piece attached to the metal 90 degree stick. it attaches to a little leveler that sends the signal to the fuel gauge (built in on the filter itself). when you remove your fuel filter double check to make sure that black hose is not kicked around it or blocking the black piece. nobody has a straight forward shot of what im trying to show you but hope this helps if you decide to take a look.

hope this helps.
