ok the lowest my meter goes down to in ohms is 200. I have a 10 dollar harbor freight meter lol. It just stayed at 1.. No change with it on there or not. when i switch meter to ohm it shows 1 and when i hook it up to pump no change. tried at 2000. got same thing. only way it will read is at 20k or above. and i get 4.29 at 20k.

im going to try this for my car , my pump wont turn on .. now i have changed everything there is to change and double checked to see if im getting power from what i need and so far the fuel pump controller is fine the connection for the fuel pump is good also , i have changed the fuel pump relay and the fuel fuse and i have swapped a new fuel pump and still no power to the fuel pump , if i try this and the pump turns on what would be my next step ?

Have you hot-wired the old and new pump, to validate their condition?
If you're not getting power to the pump, when called for, power is not leaving somewhere that it should.
Start from the fuel pump, and work your way back, until you find what isn't permitting current to flow to the pump.

no i havent tried that reason being that i dont have cables to hot wire it but having a mechanic coming tomorrow to check whats the problem . i assumed it was the fuel pump since it just took a **** on me out of the blue , so lets say i do get the fuel pump running hot wired what is my next step to do because i have checked everything else that can give it power and pump related and everything is working fine so far beside the pump not turning on
