Default Car wont move, possible tranny issue?

This is what happened. I started hearing a loud droning noise 2 days ago. My srt intake makes a noise, but this was deeper. So I ignored it thinking I had hit something and ,my exhaust had a hole.( I drive low) So I drive it like that, Yesterday night I felt a great powerloss. Today, the noise got even more louder and as I head to check it out, the car loses ALL power. I let it rest for 20 minutes and I add oil to the tranny(it was near empty) That did nothing though. As of now my car will not go past 10mph.. Is this the tranny? Thanks guys, I feel down

I hope the tranny isn't damaged from the lack of fluid. How long was the tranny fluid that low for?

No fluid can kill a tranny in 1/2 mile. 300* will destroy a tranny. not hard to get there with no fluid... I'm wondering why you had none in there at all. you never detected puddles anywhere, or smells from it leaking out onto exhaust pipes or anything?

So here is the deal. As of now it wont go past8mph. I can floor it, the engine revs to 2k at the most and thats it. In the 2 days I drove it, the sound got louder and louder, I was going to try replacing the maf sensor, but I'm afraid to replace and thats not the cause, as over here you cant return electric parts. Unfortunately I don't know anyone who can lend me theirs for troubleshooting purposes. I miss my car badly. I'm driving my cousins 05 s-type, and there is no comparison. Ill probably go to a junkyard, buy an old maf sensor, if thats the cause, Ill buy a new one

C'mon Noel. damn... I told you to disconnect the MAF sensor! No MAF sensor will run better than a faulty one. Disconnect the plug and see if it gets any better.

and for Christs sake GO GET YOUR CAR SCANNED!

(its frustrating when the answer is given by the cars computer, yet people dont get it scanned)
