Why not roll and shave your fenders?

If you want to run aftermarket wheels might as well roll and shave your fenders it'll save you the hassle and it'll open up a lot of opportunity to different type of wheels.

ROLL AND SHAVE YOUR FENDERS.

You could probably get away with a 255 on the rear and a 245 up front with reasonable camber.

I ran 245 rear and 235 front on mine, -1.5 degree rear camber, and around -1.75 front iirc, didnt rub much in front, but I rolled fenders all the way around
what should i do?

i usually hear shave back roll front? the reason im asking is because 2gs fenders are one of the harder cars to work on based on research.

If your redrilling it then you dont need to run much camber I believe. 9/10 +24 is weak.

Research more, you've been here long enough to know how this forum works.

.
Mine are re-drilled, and if I did not roll my fenders they would have rubbed.

You can roll all the fenders, the rear will dimple slightly where the holes for the trim mount is, or you can just shave it and clean the metal up and seal it/coat with paint so it doesnt rust, and then just roll the front.

But yeah, on re-drilled style 95s, reasonably low and set up with an alignment thats daily driver friendly, your going to want to roll and run probably 235/35 front and 245/35 or 255/35 rear. Just telling you from the experience I had

GS's are easy to do but was with any car you just have to take your time to not cause damage, I shaved the rears on mine instead of trying to roll them, and it turned out great. I would defiantly recommend shaving the rear and rolling the front.

I've seen some guys shave the fronts, but it removes the rigidity from the fender and they deform pretty easy afterwards, I would cut the tabs and roll the rest flat. Be careful up front where the tabs are/were this is where the fender will want to dimple when rolling/flattening.

18x10.5-1 for the rear. I don't want to run a 235. The tire i'm looking at doesn't come in 245 35 18. What would be the ideal size for this wheel? Will a 255/35 fit without rubbing...too bad? Fenders would be rolled and pulled. Thank in advance.

Definitely wont fit 255 without rubbing. Depending on your pull you will run some camber. im at 10.5 +5 with -6 camber and shaved fender

^^I was actually searching for the past two days and found your car being close to my wheels specs. I think you are running 245/35/19. What if I do 18x10+6 could I get away with the 255/35? Or will I have to just stick with the 245/35 that I don't want to get? Thanks.

If its x10 +6 you should be able to clear. But you will still have to run some camber. Remember max camber is like -4? I had to get RUCA to achieve -6

So many options ahah, hmm to me 235 on a 10.5 is extreme. But if you are super careful it'll work out. I'm using studio RUCA and studio toe arms. Unfortunately they are always out of stock and only based in socal. Your best bet is battle version ruca and toe arms

Question My dilemma...

I am trying to run OEM 2012 is350 wheels on my 99 GS300. The is350 come staggered, but I want to run the rears, which are 18x8.5 50 mm offset all around on my GS. WIll there be any issue with the front fitment? I have always used 3rd gen OEM GS 18x8's(not sure what offest they are). Will these is350 OEM 18x8.5 50 mm ofset wheels work fine up front without having to modify fenders or add spacers??

Thanks,
ROck

You definitely shouldn't have to modify fenders cuz 12mm isn't gonna make or break it fitting. As far as spacers go??? I don't think so . What's the offset on the 3gs18s
