Quick question since im about to swap tires at work. 19x10.5 +26. There is currently a 275 on there which i know wont fit, but what will it take to fit a 255/35. Just a shave or will i have to do a small pull? My camber was at -2 last time i got it aligned. This is rear btw

Helping my buddy research wheel fitment.

He has Work Rezax
18x9.5 +17
18x10.5 +17

He wants to suggested tire size is for this set up. He is lowered and will be rolling this fender.

He wants to run 225/40 and 235/40. what do you guys think of this setup?

Couldn't really find any spec to mine so here goes.

18x10 +20 225/40/18
18x11 +20 235/40/18

I believe the offset i put is correct, i just got the wheels back. I'm trying to decide if its worth shaving the rears, and rolling the fronts, or all four just rolled. Im planning to run it flush, so spacers arent out of the question

Roll front, shave rear. Those are good tire sizes, a nice stretch.

roll the front shave the rear, you should be fine, maybe add a 5-10mm spacer and you should be flushed.

Roll and pull/camber. I have 10.5 + 5 in the rear and I had to do -7 camber to fit them on just a shave.




If your wheel is a bit too aggressive, either get more negative camber, or just lower the car more it'll add negative camber itself. Assuming you clear the fender.

This may be a little off topic but here's my question.

At what offset do you start to have a negative effect on the handling. I'm thinking of going 18 x 8 +30 and it seems I should have no fitment issues. Just curious if changing the offset by 20mm is going to cause any negative handling effects like tramlining etc.

Hi guys, quick question for the wheel gurus for the rear of my GS.

I am currently running a 19x10 24mm with a 265-35-19. It's a tight fit towards the outer fender, but fits well.

I have been considering widening the rear by 1.5" and going with a 295-30-19 for a more aggressive look.

My concern is clearance towards the inside. By widening by 1.5", that would change the offset from 24mm to 43mm. How would a 19x11.5 43mm fit towards the inside with a 295-30-19?

And if I wanted to push it by widening by 2", that would be 19x12 49mm.

What do you guys think?

I had this problem too, Except you're doing it wrong. Since your widening only the lip. you're actually lowering the offset.

I increased my wheels by 2". So it was originally 8.5 +30 and now its 10.5 +4/5. I thought it would add more positive offset, so I got a spacer to compensate. Turns out it was too aggressive.

I am hoping someone on here is running SMALL wheels - not much info available for 18" let alone 17" wheels and tires.

I am looking at Enkei RPF-1 (very lightweight, and very cheap) for a set of wheels to use for autocross and track days. Ideally, I want the widest wheel, the lowest offset, and to mount wide tires (235 to 245 front, 275 rear). I do have a fender roller, but would prefer not to have to use it because my car has 58k miles on it and has perfect paint. When I rolled the fenders on my STI, I cracked the paint on one rear wheel-well. I do not want the tires to rub anywhere, and do not want to use spacers.

17's are preferable, because I will be using up tire quickly and 17's come a lot cheaper than 18's. I am currently on the stock suspension (2000 platinum series GS400), but will be adding coilovers later when I can find a proper setup. I will never lower the car more than an inch or so, and am not looking to appear "flush" or be the cool kid on the block. Function is the only thing that matters.

The options are:

17x9 +22, +35, +45
17x9.5 +38
17x10 +38

Or, in 18":

18x8.5 +30, +40
18x9 +35
18x9.5 +38, +45
18x10 +38

Has anyone tried any of these fitments?

No No, I would be widening towards the inside, which increases backspacing/positive offset.

Widening 1pc wheels to the outside (to create more lip) is actually very complicated and expensive fab work.

Im new to this forum and i been searching on what size tires i should run i have a 94 gs300 and have 7 series wheels and i want to tuck a bit if anyone can give me tire sizes and pics ill be greatful cause i cant find anything

ok im having difficulty choosing the right offset/width and im looking for your help.
I am going to get my 19" iforged senekas re-barreled at wheelflip.com.
my gs is lowered on powered by max coilovers and i want the perfect wheel size for it to be flush with rolled front fenders and shaved rears.

heres a pic of what im working right now in a unknown width and offset


ordered coilovers and rims before i bought the car lol.

I used to run a setup with 18x8 +30 with 245/40/18 and 18x9 +35 with 265/35/18 tires. From what I remember, that setup will not require any fender mods to work. And this was with a drop a little more than 1.5 inches.

My guess is your running 19X8.5 fronts (+35 and +40 offset) and the rear is 19X10 with similar offsets.

If you want to run stretch tires:
Front-
19X9 +20 to 17
235/35/19
Rear
19X10.5 or 19X11 +20 to 17
245/35/19

Running "meaty" tire:
19X9 +22 to 25
245/35/19
19X10 +22 to 25
275/30/19

Really depends on a lot of different factors, If you want to run a BBK up front down the road, want to remove front fender liners, want to run a stretched tire.... etc...

Me, I would throw a spacer up front and get the rears re lipped.
