Wheel width/offset/size and tire fitment Q&A thread
#886
2002 GS430 lowered 1.5" on Tein static springs and Bilstein shocks. I'm looking at some rims with the following specs:
20 x 9 Front / +32 offset / 245/35/20 tire
20x 10.5 rear / +45 offset / 275/30/20 tire
Will these fit as is? Or will it require fender modifications due to rubbing?
Thanks for the help!

Stock gs430 rear factory air ride and stock front struts.
xxr 521 wheels are on sale tomrrow,
18x8.5 +25 front
18x10 +12 rear
will this wheel size be to aggressive? I know I will roll my fenders, and run a 245 or 255 up front, and I'd like to run a 265 or bigger in the rear,? What do y'all think

Fitment Question
I ended up buying these for my 2001 gs300. My fenders are rolled and I'd like to go pretty low. What tire sizes would be best? Do I need to shave the rears? New to the GS world. Thanks

I have 2 pairs of rear IS350 8.5" wheels and I am looking to run a square setup so I can rotate my tires. Will a 265/40/18 fit in the front or should I go 255/40/18 all around?
Edit: To clarify, I am on stock SportDesign suspension

The 255/40 is probably okay at your height. 265/40 is definitely too big, just in general. I would consider that oversized even by width, for a 8.5" wheel, but it's too tall as well. 265/40-18 is an inch taller than the factory 17" tire size and 1/4" taller than the largest OEM size (215/60-16). 245/40-18 is the ideal size for what you are doing, that's why so many people use it and it's the default +1 size for this vehicle in tire fitment guides.

Please help
I've read through this forum as well as some others in the LS400 BBK. I have an 03 GS running on Bremmer Kraft BR07 19x9.5 +35 all around (245/40/19), LS 4-piston calipers w/ .5" spacers, and Front RCA's. Everything else is stock and I'd like to keep it that way as much as possible. I'm planning to pass this car down to my son, therefore I don't have a desire to overly modify the vehicle or spend a lot of $$. The spacers are causing my alignment to be out of whack and resulting in premature tire wear. I thought about abandoning the brakes and reverting back to stock, but I think it would be easier and more cost effective to get wheels that fit properly.
I really need help finding the best fitting wheels. I really want to stay w/ 19's and I'd like to go as wide as possible. A few particulars to mention: I don't want staggered wheels, I can't honesty afford custom wheels, and I don't want spacers anymore. According to my research, LS400 uses +38 offset for oem fitment, but once I plug in the additional width I get lost. Please help
I think these wheels might work ok: http://www.avantgardewheels.com/m359.php
They come in 19x9 and 19x10. It seems like a sweet idea to run 19x10 all around w/ +38, but I really don't know.
