I will be buying a new car, as it's obvious that the GS is no longer a "baller" car. People paying 3k for one?!! Insane. It has to happen I guess. It's sad that many of us have spent alot of money into one, and nowadays you have people buying them for less than the price some people pay for rims. Do what you want OP, it's your car. Just be ready to be given an opinion if you ask for one
I sure hope you didn't buy a home in the past 3 years either...
Maybe a 98 with 200,000 on the clock is 3000, I have yet to see one sell for that price, maybe with a salvaged title
Um I actually bought my 98 GS400 on ebay for $2025, but I took a chance on it. The listing was vague & the car cranked, but wouldnt start after replacing starter. The big one the shyed people away was the mileage the listing said 241k miles. But when it was shipped here. Turns out the intake tuning actuator was off & once we put it on it started right up & the mileage was actually 196k.
The car runs & drive great with no problems. It needs work, but it well worth the money
... you have to pretend they come in 18-19" otherwise they look like this...
LOL it actually doesn't look that bad. I called and its a little more than i was expecting to spend on a experiment. So for now its a no go. Just gonna put that money into my saving for my other build.
