Look how much stuff this software monitors LIVE!

And this is just on the power train! It can monitor the rest of the systems as well - AC, VSC, airbags, etc, and it can run a number of tests.

In comparison, generic ELM software is only able to monitor basic powertrain sensors.

Its TIS cable, not T1S.

Sk, this software will only work with certain cables. The certified is Mongoose MFC, but its $500. The cheapest cable that it will work with is X-Horse MVCI, just search ebay for Toyota TIS, they go for around $120 shipped from HK or China. I bought it from seller ystoney2010.

It will not work with $20 basic ELM cables.

TIS cable is not particularly fast either, whether you buy a cheap TIS cable or the genuine Mongoose, but it gets the job done.

If you want Techstream to work fast, I hear that there's a $1600 module called CarDAQ-Plus, thats made by the same company that make Mongoose, but for casual use thats way too much money to spend. And even with that module I don't know how fast its going to be. Don't forget that the DLC3 port on our cars is essentially a serial port and the cable has a serial to USB converter. Think dialup modem when it comes to serial ports.

So with the X-horse cable you can actually change the C-best settings? IE, changing the customize settings?

Yep, all the settings that are customizable on our cars can be changed with the X-Horse cable.

The only thing that you cannot to is program calibration updates - you will need the Mongoose cable for that.

Yes, it runs on windows. You could probably run it on a mac too, through Parallels desktop.

I'm getting it too Brian. Och should have chimmed in about this in the C-Best setting thread.

This product is cool, but the damn shipping costs more than the product itself!

But many thanks to Och for letting us know about it.
