Default 175K, no parts yet!!

My 2000 GS400 has thus far been a great car. No parts needed so far. What upgrades or repair should I consider doing in order to prevent future problems?

one word:maintenance, filter, lube, etc
also 175k for a well maintained 400 engine isnt really a big mark bud.

tons of gs's are around 250+k these days

From experience, look into your control arms, and all the bushings =D

What they said. Maintenance. I bought a 2000 GS400 with 127,000KM (80,000MI) I've changed the lower ball joints on spec, had a coolant and trans flush, and I'm gathering parts for the front suspension. my plan for the coming year is more front suspension parts, replace the rest of the fluids and some paint touch-ups. It's really ridiculous how good these cars can look and drive at 11-years old.

Thanks for the response. Guess I was more concerned about the engine. Only problem with the car is steering wheel shimmy when the brakes are applied.

I hope mine lasts, i have around 163-164xxx on it now, and the only problem i have now is the bushings are worn, which i have the daizen kit, and just the regular paint touch ups and two dents that annoy me when i look at them..lol
