Changing out/reverting back GS 400stereo
I have a new (new to me) GS400
The car has a high end after market stereo system. I prefer the look of the factory system. In looking at converting back to factory does any one have an opinion on which of the factory systems i should get (used) and what i need to look out for and beware of? Is the Nak the top of the line for 2000 gs 400? Would I need to buy the whole system for it to work correctly (my car has a replacement sub in factory location) with two aftermarket amps?
Any one want to sell a factory system or trade for a kenwood nav/dvd/stereo (its the type that slides out and then pops the screen up). I can post the model #?

Welcome to the forums bro and enjoy your baby!!!!
I believe the Mark Levinson stereo was available in '01-'05 that was the best available from what what folks are talking about...too much dough to convert though. see link to get an idea...but you can piece it together over time then install. Time consuming too but, worth it if you want to keep the stock look.

A Nakamichi set up is not as expensive but, you'd have to piece it together too if you can't get all parts at once. CD changer, amp, speakers, head unit and harnesses. Still pricey for old technology.
