Not for the faint of hearts you need air chisle And wheel bearing press for all that get one with the wheel hub and bearing already press in and call a day faster cheaper if you take into the factory for those extra tool.... or you can also take it to a shop and Have them take it out put in the new bearing as well.

it costs more to do it yourself than to have someone else do it. unless you're going to start rebuilding wheel bearings for people i don't suggest you do it yourself.

That depends if you have the tools and equipment already. I have access to air tools and a press. So it would be relatively easy for me.

That being said. You should trust such an important job to a trained and qualified professional at at reputable shop. This goes for all steering, suspension, and brake systems. Follow procedure and use the correct torque specifications.

How do you know yours are bad? Have you cleaned your hub and measured backlash and runout? Runout should be measured on the face of the hub, outside of the wheel bolts. Backlash should be measured from the center of the hub. The maximum is 0.05mm (0.002"). The FSM doesn't have specs for measuring the hub with a micrometer.

This would be a great time to have the spindle powder coated. I should have done that to my control arms when I was installing the Diazen bushings. Oh well, next time.
