Default Radiator, Power Steering, & Tranny Flush

I was gettin an oil change today and the guy told me that I shud get a radiator, power steering, and tranny flush.

its gonna cost me a total of $180 bux and I have no idea how to do it myself so I have to pay.

my '02 gs300 has 104,000 miles and i've have the car for two years and never had it flushed.

shud I go ahead and do the flush ?

You should search on the proper way to flush the tranny. if done wrong it might give you problems. if $180 includes OEM fluids and they dont hook it up to a transfusion machine you are good, but i doubt it.

he doesn't need a flush, just a drain and refill on the tranny.

Whenever I'm not comfortable with my level of "expertise" in doing a job and am forced to take it somewhere for maint/repairs... I go to the toyota dealership. Their labor rates are better, and the master tech was previously the master tech for the lexus dealership. Probably not the case for you, but those guys are used to working on toyota/lexus and will do the job right. usually, lol

This is a good maintenance plan. About 4 mos ago when I got my oil/filter changed I had a flush, drain and refill of my tranny, coolant, brakes, power steering and rear diff. The crap cost me around $600 but at least now I know when everything was done...and the car feels great! Maintenance should always be #1...then modding is secondary.

I think they tell this to everybody. Flushing with a machine is generally not recommended, just a full drain and fill is preferred. I did the same thing two weeks ago on my GS3. https://www.clublexus.com/forums/per...-car-feel.html Speedaddic took issue with my use of the term "flush" since it wasn't technically. I also replaced the power steering fluid, which is quite easy if you have a floor jack and a pair of pliers and some Dexron fluid.

Make sure they don't put that cheap junk(fluids) that they service those dodge Aries with.

Around in NY the labor rate is like 115 per hour at the dealer. at least the last time I was there picking up parts.
