Default l-tuned ecu, how to know it's the right one?

i am just wondering, how would i tell if the ecu is stock or l-tuned if i get it used from somebody?

dude, you can't. It's crazy. If you buy one, it is recommended you mark it so you know which one is which.

oh man....... um........ so that means in the worst possible situation, someone can sell the stock ecu as the l-tuned?

Just buy one from Steve Ganz brand new, they are only $135, at least last time I checked.

If I remember right, one has a black connector plug, and the other has an orange one... Not sure. But it definately would be a good idea to buy any electronic good brand new.

I can see it now... RARELY used L-Tuned steering ECU upgrade! Don't mind the fact that it looks identical to the one you already have... Minimun bid $1, no reserve!
