Hello all...i tried looking in the DIY thread before i made this thread so please excuse my noobness...
about a year ago, i installed an alpine screen in my g. i took it to car toys to get it installed. dude said i needed an amp to power up my sub or else i wont have a sub. i bought an amp and everything was dandy until about a week ago. my sub woofer randomly didnt work anymore. then randomly, a day later, it would pop a little and come back on. now its out again. I looked in the back and saw that the amp isnt being powered up which leads me to believe there is a misconnect in my power supply to my amp. the amp in the trunk is installed about a foot to the right of the sub, on the passenger's side. there are wires leading back behind the rear seats and i have no idea how to access them and access them to see where they lead and to see if there is a wire loose.
so my question is, is it possible to fold the rear seats down to see where these wires lead to?
any other tips/advice as to what else my problem could be?
thanks in advance for your help

The GS rear seats don't fold down but the power line was run likely from the front of the car to the rear, first check the fuse near the battery to see if its good..
To remove the rear seats on the GS you pull on the bottom of the rear seats ( 2 edges on the Left and right)...then iirc there are 4 or 3 bolts on the bottom (its either a 12/14mm) and remove them then the top half should swing downwards

the fuse box of the vehicle? or the fuse for the power line that goes to your amp???
the fuse box for the vehicle is in the engine bay... the sub will have a dedicated power line for the amp that is connect straight on the positive battery terminal with an in-line fuse on that wire... check that one first...

why dont we get back to the subject?
you got a voltmeter can you check the wires
I think its gonna be the Remote wire easy way to check is check the big red wire and black ground wire see if you get a 12v
if you do then check with the car off the skinny remote wire should be no volt then with the deck on car on check it again and see if u get 12v
