Lightbulb Oil temperature gauge

Hey guys,

I've searched but there doesn't seem to be a thread about this.
I am thinking about installing an oil temp gauge. So I could just get an oil filter sandwich adapter and be done with it. But I was thinking about putting a 1/8 BSP to 1/8 NPT adapter and a 1/8 NPT T piece and run it of the oil pressure switch.

My questions are:
- where is the oil pressure switch located (2JZ engine)?
- is this a good location for monitoring the oil temp?
- would this setup be better than a sandwich plate?

Thanks in advance and enjoy your Sunday.

I did some research. The pressure switch should be forward of the oil filter.
So temp readings should be quite similar on both locations.

So sandwich plate or T piece on the pressure switch bolt?

Thanks!
