for the trunk bar, is it made by plastic or a real metal bar?

The trunk bar is made of the same stuff that comes on the car stock. A very hard plastic with a coat of chrome or something. I believe the car emblems ("L", Lexus, GS430) are the same way... The fit was perfect.

Now way! You have to unbolt the stock piece and bolt the new piece on. It's a very solid unit. You have to remove the trunk liner to get to the bolts. While I was unbolting, I also changed out the stock lisence plate light bulbs with some PIAA Hiper white. Now my personal plate shines nice!

The center bolts that hold the chrome bar also support the key assembly in the middle.

Be careful when after you have installed the chrome bar and are tightening the nuts on the inside....make sure key hole is aligned with hole in chrome bar or else you may crack the chrome bar itself....

You wouldnt want that to happen!
