I am embarrased to admit my total. But it adds up quickly when you buy a body kit, have it painted and installed, then remove said body kit and have the OEM parts repainted and reinstalled. Then you buy an exhaust and have it installed. You don't like it and buy another exhaust and have it installed to later turn around and buy someone elses OEM exhaust and have it installed. Next you install L-tuned suspension and get an alignment, then you have the L-tuned suspension removed and get another alignment. Next you buy a wood dash kit and mess up your ashtray so bad that you have to buy another one. Lastly, you buy POS wheels and then get much better (more expensive) wheels. Plus, like Dave said, labor cost eat you up when you are not a do-it-yourselfer.

trust, it's really really easy to spend 15k+ on the system.

btw...i think we're in the high end of the 20-30 range (most of that went into the system). that doesn't include the new 20's and the body kit to be coming in the next month or so.

All mods are stereo related: 1 Pioneer P9 combo, 2 Zapco 4.0 amplifiers, 1 Zapco 9.0, DLS 3 way, 2 12" Eclipse Aluminum Subs, custom installation (custom kicks, head unit fabrication sub enclosure and trunk) Set up for IASCA competition. 601 + street class (Would of spent $15,000 but traded some legal work with my installer for a discount off my bill)

Plan on wheels tires and suspension/brakes soon plus some mild performance mods - I expect to spend another $10,000 maximum - anyone want to trade some legal work for some work

Damn, I knew I shouldnt have read this thread. This is one of those topics that you should never get involved in, once you start adding it all up, it makes you start wondering what the hell is wrong with you!

I put myslef in the 15 to 20k range ( I was right under 20K), but I forgot about my WIN bodykit, the painting, and the few fitment issues that had to be fixed. Damn, I geuss im in the 20 to 30k bracket!
Im just sitting here wondering where I got all of the damn money.

If you have a set of nice 20's, you automatically dropped 4,000 to 8,000 grand on the shoes alone.
Oh well, I geuss theres worse habits that I could have!

Yeah OK guys........spillin' out cash like its nothin huh.....I'll make sure to bring this post back up when I graduate college. I might have to add another category just for me though....I'ma post a poll on the age of GS 300 owners on the site....I wanna see how many people on here are my age...I just can't compete with you guys makin the mean cash....I don't make any money here in college...back home I worked for my fathers appliance stores doing house calls on appliances and I would see a good $700 a week...not bad for a 17 year old...somehow it would all disappear though. In one year i made like $30,000 and somehow saved up only l $6400....my only bills were car insurance, (at the time $416 a month) cell phone, girls, and the BIGGIES....my Maxima (sc, exhaust, 19 in. Giovanna Corsicas, Alpine system, and some other miscellaneous stuff) and Nightclubs (like $350 a weekend!) now I'm in college with a very expensive major (professional Aviation) my savings are all going towards my education, I live off of what my parents send and hardly anytime to have a job to make some money to support my LEX. its a big change for me...good experience though I needed to learn to be responsible with money....BUT DAMN I WANNA TRICK OUT THE LEX!!!!!

damn I thought I was makin a run for the youngest GS owner.....im 18 and 2 months....you better not be like a friend I have he's what I call a "thanks dad" he has like $20 into an Acura 3.2TL but he doesn't count....cause he hasn't worked a day in his life....he just says...THANKS DAD!...lol
