Poll: How much have you spent on your Lexus?
A poll - How much have you spent on mods?
Here’s the premise: An honest-to-goodness survey about how much some of us are willing to spend on our (beloved) GS’s.
Dig it - This isn’t intended to be a contest to see who has spent the most – just a poll to see what the spending habits of Lexus enthusiasts’ looks like. I know I was surprised to see how much I’ve spent (so far) – and I know that some members have doubled and tripled my meager contribution to the aftermarket economy. And remember, this is confidential – neither your wife nor the taxman needs to know – it’ll just be between you, CL members and your God.
The “rules”:
Consider only additions ABOVE the purchase price of the car itself, just additions. You know, wheels, intake, exhaust, tunes, dvd, suspension, body kits, etc. Nothing that could be considered maintenance items should be included – if it’s necessary for normal upkeep, don’t include it (car washes, waxes, detailing, etc. Be honest – don’t blow smoke – ‘cause eventually, someone will see your GS and issue the dreaded “BS ALERT”.
NOTE: I am not responsible for any heart palpitations, coronaries, divorces, bankruptcies, suicides, or other abnormal actions brought on by a conscious realization of just how much you’ve spent.
My $6,000-9,000 bucks worth.

L-Tuned suspension doesn't cost much. TRD sways don't cost much. A little bracing and I'll probably still be under the $3k wire when all is said and done.

Damn, this is awesome - over a quarter of the poll participants (so far) have spent over $12,000 on modifications. Although this is a small sampling, and the membership is a group of car nuts, these kind of numbers ought to get someones attention.

I agree... that is pretty amazing to have 4 people so far over 30K. I thought only 2-3 at the most. Shoot, I'm almost there. I have over $10k in just stereo stuff. When I get that SRT turbo, I'll hit that number. this is too crazy!

I can dig it - I'm on track to spend another $1,500 in the next 30 days, that'll bring me to about 9K and I feel like I'm one of the "poor" relations from the wrong side of the tracks!
