I'd recommend changing out the filter screen inside the transmission while you're at it. It's what filters larger particles inside the fluid. Cheap part.

look at the pan... the damage should show you which direction the object entered and exited from.

Well, IIRC the pan is only made out of aluminum. I saw the pan; it had a hole in it about the size of a pea that went right through...it was obvious that it was something that kicked up from the ground and damaged the pan that way.

I don't know what the heck I hit but all is good with my car...been driving it for 3 days now and it drives/shifts good with no leaks.

However, they did overfill the tranny by probably a 1/2qt or so. When running (and hot) the fluid level is about 1" PAST the "full line" on the tranny dipstick...no good. I want the excess drained soon - will have it done tomorrow night.

BTW...the bill came to $465 w/tax and $60 for Amsoil ATF (that I supplied). 2hrs labor plus parts.
