A downward slope in the track. No, seriously on top of doing all the intake, exhaust, ECU, traction, etc... mods you can do you will need to take out the rear seats, put on lightweight racing rims(maybe more) to drop some weight. The fastest NA GS4 that I know of, which has everything you can do to a GS4(outside of NOS/ Forced Induction), including a very good driver, ran a 13.79 @ 106.2. IMO the best route to reach 13.5(and under) in a GS400 would be forced induction.

Don't forget about a Torque Converter. It will help launch that heavy car off the line.

LXOGOOD, absolutely, that's what I meant by traction.

um u cant compare the 2 speedwise, obviously the e55 will hand the GS 4 its own ****. The E55 IMO looks better than the GS. But if you got a GS4 and decked that out with bodykit, and so forth it would look better then the E55.

I personally would take an E55, however be wary of various electrical problems, and mechanical problems with the german engineering.

I think the E55 is a beautiful car and it gets 27 MPG in the city (I think I read that somewhere in some car magazine)!

e55(W210) is a great car. Always liked it from a performance/ utility standpoint. Looks are not bad, just sort of bland to me. New E-class(W211) is out in Europe and will be here soon. Looks seem to be improved somewhat but I cannot make a judgement until I see it in person. The new e55(476hp/ 516 lb ft & a curb weight less than the next V-10 M5/ current RS6) amg kompressor will be something to watch as well when it comes out. One thing I like about the AMG models(over standard MB models) is that they are handbuilt so build quality/ reliability are much better than regular MB cars. shane, it really comes down to how much speed you want, how much money you want to spend and if your up to modding a car to attain a certain speed.

I like the 99-00' E55, and the thing is a rocket with an Auto, not bad.

The E55 is a very nice and fast car. It seats five, and can beat a GS430 with a full ride. So speedwise, it rocks!!!

However, when you look at the interior of the E55 and the GS, the GS looks a lot more like it belongs in 2002 than the E does. The interior of the E and the CLK are pretty much laid out the same way, in terms of dashboard, radio, and where the controls are located, as they are in every benz. It is for this reason, that I would really have to think about it.

Do you plan on racing at all? If you dont plan on racing, and you just want the car for status, then think about a modded GS. A GS with rims, body kit, and everything else looks a lot better than the E, and has plenty of power to stomp on.

Have you looked through the GS gallery?

BTW, welcome to Clublexus!!!
