Yep facing the back of the car...else the pos and neg would be on the wrong side. I bet they do touch. With just the terminals, it doesn't seem to impact the hood too much. I put a rubber cover on top of the terminals to test it out and when i popped the hood, the rubber terminals were stuck to the bottom of the hood...so its definately touching.

I'll end up using the bolts that came with the battery. Just have to put a ring terminal on the negative cable. I removed the battery tray too, and its not flat under there, so I figured that wouldn't work either.

I still think its best to just use the supplied bolts and bolt them on that way.

If not, then I say just removed the battery tray and I bet you'll get an extra inch+ of clearance.
is it "Safe" to place the battery with out that tray? ive never tooken the factory battery tray out so idk how it is down there?

Mine never had a tray As long as you have something to hold the battery from moving, you're fine. I'm sure you can make your own battery tray out of something thinner, bolt it down just like oem one is and mount the battery just like the factory one is. If that doesnt work, then you can just buy battery tie downs and use them.

Another way I just thought of cover the posts on the top, put the battery on its side and use the side posts do it this way and you can go even bigger of a battery

Wow, I'd be upset as a seller... You know how much its gonna cost him to ship it? More than likely wont go lower than $180

hahah yeah. they counter offered me with 117.
ive always bought from them and i always just do offers on their "buy it now" items. always works great, or i end up getting a good enough lower price from the "but it now" price and it ends up being the lowest i can find online. and they do free shipping and no taxes. so ive bought from them quite a few times.
im going to try and go as low as i can, but yeah your right, they prob wont go too low. once the sent me a message that sounded pretty upsetting, saying why was i offering so low, that it was too low and they'd rather just keep their product. LOL. but they do a good job on going low. im going for 150!!! ahaha.

They counter offered 117? or 170? and usually a counter offer is as low as they go.

So, I was able to get it fit on my gs430 the way it was suggested here and from another buddy of mine. Used the bolts that were supplied from kinetik. Had a rin terminal crimped on to the neg side, on the positive side, the rings were drilled out to fit the bolt. Everything is good to go now. I just placed the plastic covers over the connections. They are not really held on by anything, but since there is minimal clearance (but nothing touches thankfully), they have no where to move to anyway.
