here's an idea...invest some money into stocks and use the profit to pay for car parts

most of my mods are complete so what i'm doing now is using my OT money for parts

As long as your bills are paid, money put away for a rainy day, spend your money. Money is for two things..spending or saving. I look at life as a thin line we're always trying to walk; spending all your money isn't good neither is saving it all.

Just like what Datguy said its a balance of spending and saving. You make your own decisions. Can't generally say its a waste of money if it serves you a purpose.

Putting your money into the stock market is like just throwing your money away.

I question how many people own a house/real estate or see themselves putting money into their car (perhaps with a family).

I think once the sense of ownership of a house kicks in, the priority of expenditures switches towards that rather then towards the car (for a majority percentage of people). Of course statistical outliers are always there.

I agree. Owning a house put modding the house in higher priority then modding my car. I'm fixing up the garage to put my Lexus in. Haha

after totaling all my mods up plus the car i realized dam i could of gotten a 3gs but it would be only lightly modded. Oh well the 2gs is more a classic than the 3 will be.
