I have a 99 GS300 with 139k miles with brand new tires and oz 17 inch rims, I dont know if its the rims or what but it was raining hard today and I went through a puddle on the side of the highway and it made the steering jump to the side and the car swerve, is this normal for this car? I did notice that it drives a bit different just from changing the stock 16x7.5 rims to OZ 17x8 rims.
something similar happened to me too, but i knew it was big puddle.. i guess it occurs when hitting a big puddle of water. i try to avoid running them over now, even tho i want to make a big splash lol
first off I KNOW what hydroplaning is and I have never had this happen to me and I owned a Acura TSX which is FWD so I made this thread to see if this is more common with a RWD or just this car since its older then the 04 TSX I had.
