hi i have a 2000 gs300 and as you all know the plastic key shell case can break so i just got a new key shell and key blade cut from the dealer and put the same remote transponder in and all of a sudden the car doesnt start now any idea what it could be?
When i first put the transponder in, the remote works as normal but once i tried to start the car its as if the whole car's electronics shut down. has anyone come across this problem before and any idea what i can do about this? its a bit of a bother because my car appears dead and its parked in a bad suburb and i dont wanna leave it there overnight
thanks..

thanks guys you are both correct the stupid dealer cut a key with a longer blade and when i tried to use it the whole cars electronics shut down. so i had to gather the broken plastic pieces from the old remote and tape it together with the old blade to make a frankenstein key and it starts. ![Egads!](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/pat.gif)
wow what a waste of time and effort will get a new shell and blade off ebay and a refund for the oversized blade. thanks guys you rule
