Default 01' GS3 Trans on 98'?

Hey,

I recently found a 01' transmission WITH triptronic for a good price. I was wondering if i could use the transmission on my 98 GS3?

I'm not looking to have the triptronic hooked working or anything. Just need my car runnning again lol.

Thanks,
Mike
