Default Fast rear tire wear on gs400

I put staggered wheels on my 1999 gs400. The rear tires lasted 5 months. Is this normal? I recently installed my stock tires and rims and noticed that the rear tires are wearing fast. Anyone know why this is happening??? Please help

Is the wear even across the tires and how many miles did you get?

On the 2GS, it's common that the toe is usually out of specs for the rears.

I never had a prob with my old rims and tires 245/35/20 all around but after having 275/30/20 on the rear they began to ware fast. I don't drive crazy so 5 months on the tires is crazy. Falken fk52

Nothing to do with a staggered set up. People on this forum have been running staggered on the GS for 12+years. If anything your front tires are supposed to wear out waaaay ahead of your rears. I've got 295/25-20 on the rear with no issues.

1 degree of what ??? Caster, camber or toe ??

Show us your Alignment Sheet so we can make an analytical assessment of your problem, instead of just guessing, which is all we can do right now.

If this is an alignment issue, it sounds like another case of toe out.

Nothing chews up tires faster than excessive toe out.

Did I miss on how its worn? Is it worn on the edges (inner or outer) or is it an even wear, or just in the middle of the tire?

Edit: I think I read even wear across entire tire right?
