I have a problem where on my 99 GS400 both tail lights and my license plate light stopped working at the same exact time.

When I hit the brakes they light up fine, when I put it in reverse my reverse lights come on. What does the problem sound like to you guys?

I recently installed a sub and amp in the trunk and wonder if this could have caused an issue.

Also the fuse box covers on both the driver and passenger side by the kick pannels are missing on my gs400 if anyone has a ppic or can snap a pic of thier covers with the labeling I would be very grateful

If anyone has any advice or has experienced a similar situation please post up.

i would 100% believe this has something to do with the issue if it came about after installing this....

what did you tap for the amp?

 

Unless you wired your amp into the taillight harness somehow, or put a screw into it, this is probably a coincidence.

I would start at the fuses.

 

that happen to me once. i didnt install anything though i'd start with the fuses too. i checked every single fuse becuase sometimes its not the fuse you are actually aiming for

yeah could be your tail fuse.

Ayyy ghetto tail light gang in the house. I ALSO (haha) put in TWO amps and a sub, and my inner left tail light went out. I'll check the fuses but I have a feeling I rattled something out of place .
