I hear you all loud and clear about the benefits of HID foglights. Great in theory.

Problem in Australia is that it is illegal (absolutely true) to run with your foglights on if there is no fog. Typical government ADR revenue raiser. Go figure!

Plus I like the yellow foglight look = retro European.

That's why I am so keen to modify a set of clear side markers with high intensity lumileds.

Anyone able to sell me a set please? Can pay by Paypal incl. postage.

Don't you just need to wire yours to stay on if that's what you want? i don't think getting the corner light housing itself is going to do anything?

that's crazy you guys are not allowed to use your foglights without fog lol...

I've been driving without my fogs for a week and its killing me.... Luckily I have a retrofit done so I dont have trouble seeing. OP if you can't get fogs hid then like other members havesaid I would do a ls430 retrofit. That should be plenty light for you

Please forgive me, but I'm surprised, why is it illegal to run fogs in Cali?

I have the same question! It was in another thread in the NorCal section in regards to someone who got a ticket for them... I'll see if I can find the VC on it. There are a lot of retarded laws out there. I can understand a lot of them, but I too am curious as well.

Well just checked. I dont see anything about using them Maybe the cop was stretching the law in regards to using them as headlights? I guess its a stretch, but I suppose while not using them in the fog, they're being used as headlights... IDK!

(c) On a motorcycle, the foglamps authorized under this section shall be mounted on the front at a height of not less than 12 inches nor more than 40 inches and aimed so that when the vehicle is not loaded none of the high-intensity portion of the light to the left of the center of the vehicle projects higher than a level of four inches below the level of the center of the lamp from which it comes, for a distance of 25 feet in front of the vehicle.
